Ipsen was looking for a world class benchmarking methodology for its 5 plants in Europe. This was the first step towards the creation of various improvement programs.
Mainnovation presented a plan in which it enriched its VDMXL audit with detailed maturity matrices for each VDM competence. Each plant is compared in terms of the qualitative and quantitative benchmark data. The assessments identify the strong and weak areas for each site and can subsequently be used to develop a unique improvement program for each site.
The first audit has currently been completed for Ipsen Dreux in France. A schedule has been prepared for the other European sites.
Mainnovation’s Added Value
Proven benchmark methodology with more than 600 companies that makes it possible to make a comparison with a specific sector or industry. The business cases are based on the implementation of proven best practices, whereby Mainnovation can directly assist Ipsen.
Each plant is compared in terms of the qualitative and quantitative benchmark data.
The improvement potential identified using VDMXL has since exceeded € 10 million per year.
The result of the studies is a reduction of 100 hours in unscheduled downtime.
Maintenance has the potential to contribute a great deal of value to GSK’s operating results.
