The world of Maintenance and Asset Management is changing. Which challenges are we facing in the future? And how does a future maintenance technician look like? Understanding the four megatrends in maintenance, helps to answer these questions.
The four megatrends are expressed in the four D’s: De-aging, Decarbonisation, Digitalisation and Demographic Change. The D from Demographic Change is the linking pin. Our youngest generation, Generation Z (born after 1995), will impact the other 3 D’s. Generation Z, was born with a mobile phone already in their hands. With increasing digitalisation, this is a very useful skill. Also, this generation is very aware of the growing shortage of raw materials and of the fact that we need to take better care of the environment.
At Asset Performance, the Conference & Exhibition of BEMAS, Mark Haarman will explain the four D’s and specifically talk about the maintenance technician of the future. He will also present some results form the market survey ‘Digital Trends in Maintenance & Asset Management’ that was executed by Mainnovation and PwC.
