Datastream VDM Control Panel
Datastream 7i a powerful and convenient analysis tool. It allows you to use your own data to make reliable forecasts, to make value enhancing decisions and it provides you with a daily summary of the economic consequences of your decisions. Fast, convenient, easy and made to measure.
To determine the current situation of Maintenance, it is essential that maintenance control information is available. For this reason, the VDM Control Panel has been developed for Datastream 7i. A schematic overview, showing the performance of the technical department at a glance, and where the detection of defects and their causes is just a matter of a few mouse clicks!
The homepage of the Datastream 7i VDM Control Panel always gives an overall picture of the current situation by means of the 10 VDM Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in their mutual relationship. VDM has deliberately chosen 1 KPI per competency. The target values (the standard) for these KPIs have been determined according to reliable benchmarking and the improvement considered feasible for your organization.
Setting the right targets is half the job done, and will enable you to focus on the defects (‘management by exception’). Below each KPI that you wish to study in more detail, you will find predefined detailed information, which enables you to find the real underlying causes and trends. It will enable you to rectify any defects in time. The various trend graphs, polar-wedge diagrams, top-N overviews, and scatter grams are calculated by computer (daily), without any extra data needed to be entered.
The strength of the Datastream 7i VDM Control Panel is the symbiosis of a high-quality analysis model and the specialist know-how of the application and the possibilities of Datastream 7i. Each bar in a graph constitutes a starting point for further analysis: each mouse click gives a drill-down to the details that are part of the specific selection. Right up to the lowest level of the work orders that caused the problem.
