Volvo saves USD 10.5 million per year
Thanks to the VDM (Value Driven Maintenance) concept, the Volvo Cars factory in Torslanda, Sweden, has managed to reduce maintenance costs by around SEK 340 per car.
“This means that we save SEK 70 million each year – money that we would rather invest in product development,” comments Maintenance Manager Bengt Svensson.
